The Arsenal of William Burroughs

“If you had a razor sharp, double-edged knife, you could whip it out and cut someone’s throat before he knew what was happening,” Burroughs tells the man behind the camera, “right in the middle of a sentence.” This video shows the author as a wiley old cuss, wielding a blow dart, a pistol, a blackjack, and a large knife all in the course of two minutes. Burroughs’ affinity for weapons is subtle and disturbing, especially in the way he so calmly talks of slitting a man’s throat.
