Iron Maiden: Heavy Metal Air

Journal

Apparently I'm late on discovering that Iron Maiden has its own Boeing 757 jet called "Ed Force One." I suppose that's what happens when you fall out of touch with the daily rumblings of what used to be one of your favorite metal bands when you were in junior high. Though Maiden is still hot shit, don't get me wrong, I just don't bump Somewhere In Time or Killers like I used to. What's more interesting is that Bruce Dickinson, the once mop-haired but now more reserved looking lead singer of the British metal gods, is piloting the airborne tour bus. And now it looks like fans can book flights and travel with the band to some select tour dates this summer.

Here's the official word:
"The best way to go to a Maiden show! This is your chance to fly on ED FORCE ONE - the actual 757 plane currently transporting the band crew and equipment around the world on the first leg of their SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME TOUR - with Captain Bruce Dickinson.

The interior seating will have been reverted back to its original format,  but the plane, including the IRON MAIDEN livery (subject to wear and tear) will be exactly as the band and crew have experienced these past months travelling the world.

You too will be flown by Captain Bruce Dickinson, and later witness him on stage with IRON MAIDEN for their amazing two hour show before flying back or staying overnight."
